Foster Care Fortnight 2024
Foster Care Fortnight 2024 is running from the 13th to the 26th of May, the theme of this year's event is Fostering Moments, an opportunity to celebrate the moments that define fostering journeys.
Children need to live in an alternative home, away from their family, for so many reasons. Each child has a different story and each child needs a different family to help them through a difficult time. Fostering is one of the most worthwhile experiences and rewarding careers that anybody can have.
Transferring to us is swift and easy and is probably a quicker and smoother process than you may think. We provide reliable and consistent support which can be the difference you need to make fostering enjoyable and achievable for your family.
We pay our carers £450-£650 per week per foster child placed in their care. We also provide a whole host of financial benefits and transport and other support to make fostering as supported as possible.
Being a local, independent foster agency in Kent, we get to know all our carers, and you will get to know us too! So, if you are looking for excellent support with a personal touch, we may be the agency for you.
The Homefinding & Fostering Agency was founded in 1996 by an experienced foster carer who fostered over 60 children and our agency is still run by the original team to this day.
We offer safe and nurturing placements to society’s most vulnerable children and young people. As other agencies become part of larger companies, we have become unique by retaining our integrity as an independent foster care agency in Kent.
Homefinding & Fostering are committed to supporting our foster carers in Kent and London. We consistently aid in strengthening families so they can have an amazing fostering journey in which every child reaches their potential and foster carers can feel they made a significant positive change to a child’s life.
As an independent agency, you will come to know the staff that supports you, and we always answer with a friendly familiar voice whenever you phone during the day, or during our 24/7 out-of-hours service.
By knowing every single one of our carers well, we will be able to provide more creative and tailored support. No matter what you are facing, every one of us will be working hard to help you and the child or children placed in your care.

Life with adult children can leave you feeling empty inside, and in the family home. Fill the gaps by becoming a foster carer.
Teenagers are rewarding, energetic and often thoughtful.
They need a consistent calm environment to guide them to make the right decisions. To help them reach their potential and become the adults you konw they could be.
Everyone working for and with us shares a common goal; to improve the life chances of those children we look after. We consistently focus on the needs of our foster carers and their families so that in turn, they can meet the needs of the children and young people they care for. Our foster carers involvement is an important part of this process, enabling us to work collaboratively together. We want to create a legacy that we can all be proud of.
